Long long time ago, in a parallel world lives a very curious boy.
One day, the boy was reading a book and saw the term "purple plate", and he couldn't understand the meaning at all.
The boy pondered for many days - days after days, he sat by himself looking at the sun thinking about what a "purple plate" could be.
He also re-read the books millions of times trying to grasp the meaning of a "purple plate", but the attempts were futile.
Finally, he decided that his own efforts may not be enough, so he asked his teacher what is a "purple plate", "Teacher, may I know what a purple plate is?".
Out of a sudden, the teacher got very angry, she gave this boy several tight slaps to the face, until the face is swollen and unrecognizable, and sent him to principal.
On the way there, the boy was very stunned, "What's wrong with being curious and clarifying doubts?".
Soon, the boy arrived at the principal office.
The principal asked the boy what was it that he was so interested about, so the boy replied,"Sir, may I know what a purple plate is?".
Again, the principal got very angry, he threw several punches at the boy until he was vomiting blood, and then sent the boy to the police.
The boy asked the same thing at the police station and got jailed for ten years.
Throughout the ten years, the boy grew to a decent young man, but his curiosity was as strong as ever. Everyday in the jail, he was thinking about the "purple plate". And every single moment, he was hoping to get out of the jail sooner so that he can ask other people about the "purple plate".
Finally, ten years passed, and the young man was released.
Just outside the jail, he saw a wise old woman across the road who look like she definitely know the answer,
he was very delighted,
so he dashed across the road,
but he got banged by a car,
and died without knowing what a "purple plate is".
What is the moral of the story?
Look before you cross the road.
